Removing the Cancer from the MRP Grassroots

Earlier this week, the 1st Congressional District Republican Committee approved a resolution calling for the removal of Michigan Republican Party Grassroots Vice Chair Chris Long. Many other committees are expected to follow suit in the days to come.

The resolution can be seen below:

Why This Is Important

Grassroots Vice Chair Chris Long has been on a months-long tirade attempting to drive patriotic delegates out of the Republican Party fold due to his petty, trivial vendettas.

Some of his targets have included Christian Nationalists, the Promethean Action PAC, supporters of General Flynn, libertarians, and, of course, the Grand New Party PAC.

Similar to the rhetoric of disgraced ANTIFA-collaborating cult weirdo Scott McMahan, Chris Long preaches that anyone who does not want to bow to their will is considered a "disruptor" and subject to have their rights stripped from them.

We recently chided Chris Long and called for his ouster after he endorsed genocide in a public Facebook post. Long also released "anti-endorsements" for candidates John James and Ralph Rebandt, trying to play it cute since he is prevented under bylaws from endorsing candidates as an elected Vice Chair. People have not been amused by his sorry games.

Long drove Ax Mi Tax founder Karla Wagner out of the party. Wagner (and possibly the thousands of activists who have helped with her campaign to end property taxes) are now disenfranchised independents, not Republicans, thanks to Long's efforts that he has bragged about.

If you are not personally familiar with him, here are some of Chris Long's greatest hits:

We want to make it clear that these actions are not the work of the Michigan Republican Party Chairman Jim Runestad or his Co-Chair Sunny Reddy.

The MRP under Runestad and Reddy has done an admirable job of being a fair dealer within primary races. They have played it down the middle and refused to tip the scales in favor of one candidate or the other. This is what the grassroots has always wanted from leadership.

Previously, the Hoekstra administration ran the Mike Rogers campaign out of Michigan Republican Party headquarters in a clear conflict of interest orchestrated by the special interests. They spit in the faces of grassroots supporters who were assured by Hoekstra and his gang that they would raise money and run an above-board process (in actuality, they did neither).

Runestad and Reddy have been fair arbiters. Runestad has also come out in favor of the Precinct Delegates' Bill of Rights. Because of their steadfast integrity, they have been under constant attack from the likes of Chris Long and the establishment good ol' boys club as well.

The Grand New Party PAC exists to coalesce America First patriots, hard-right conservatives, constitutionalists, libertarians, health freedom activists and other independent-minded individuals around the best of what the Republican Party has to offer.

We believe that the future of the Republican Party depends on these different groups being brought in and empowered around common sense principles. These are the very principles that won President Trump the election in resounding fashion in 2024.

Chris Long's "leadership" has deliberately made the Big Tent smaller because of his own personal dysfunction, enabled by a group of party insiders who want to disenfranchise precinct delegates and activists so they can hang on to the sliver of perceived authority that they wield within their pathetic and dwindling little echo chambers.

These contemptible hacks care more about getting pats on the head from establishment politicos within their phony-baloney country club circuit than offering the vibrant leadership to grow the movement. That is why there is no momentum, only stagnation, heading into the most crucial midterm elections of our lifetime. It is their immense weakness and failure why we are all suffering.

They fear serious delegate recruitment efforts because they want to keep their positions of perceived power within various Republican committees. This is why they oppose the Precinct Delegate Bill of Rights. This is why they want to arbitrarily remove delegates at the county level based on the whims of party bosses.

They will rally around Chris Long because they believe his efforts to piss on the delegates and suppress the activist base are helpful to their power-clinging efforts. They want delegates shut out. And if their efforts are successful, we will lose in November. Then they will blame the grassroots, rinse and repeat. It is sad to see this self-fulfilling cycle coming from a mile away.

It is time to throw a wrench in this process before it is too late. It is time we hold bad leadership accountable for once. Talk to your local county and district committees and demand that they support this resolution to remove Chris Long. Get on the horn with your state committee members and tell them they must vote to remove Chris Long.

If they make excuses, compile a list. We certainly will be. We will remember where your County, District and State committees stand. And they will be subject to removal in the next election cycle. This is a line-in-the-sand moment. It is time to have a Grassroots Vice Chair who stands with the grassroots.

Let's remove the big fat impostor, and make the MIGOP great again.
